This is episode 4 from a 10 part series called, "The Hidden Secrets of Money." If you don't have time to read up and do more research on how currency is created, how monetary policy works, etc, this is the quickest way to learn the core of it in simplified terms that's easier to understand. Now if you do not quite understand it still, don't worry, the system isn't supposed to make sense. It's a paradox, a ponzi scheme, not meant to be understood by common folk.

This was, to be sure, "the home of the free and the land of the brave." Americans were free simply because the government was too weak to intervene in the private affairs of the people—it did not have the money to do so—and they were brave because a free people is always venturesome. The obligation of freedom is a willingness to stand on your own feet.

The early American wanted it that way. He was wary of government, especially one that was out of his reach. He had just rid himself of a faraway and self-sufficient political establishment and...

"The freedoms won by Americans in 1776 were lost in the revolution of 1913," wrote Frank Chodorov. Indeed, a man's home used to be his castle. The income tax, however, gave the government the keys to every door and the sole right to change the locks.

Today the American people are no longer the master and the government has ceased to be the servant. How could this be? The Revolution fought in the name of the inherent natural rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness promised to enthrone the gains of individualism. Instead, federal taxation bribes...

We've been mis-classifying inflation as economic growth for years. You hear people say a small amount of inflation is good because it means the economy is growing, but they're just parroting something they heard someone else say. It is complete nonsense! Inflation is not needed for economic growth.

This man was far more prosperous than...

How Central Planners Sow Seeds of Economic Ruin

When the visible hand of central planners is forced upon an economy through edicts and diktats, money is no longer directed to where it is most appreciated. Rather, it is squandered on things that have little economic merit. And abundance is subtracted from the economy.

For profits to be produced in a market economy a seller must provide products or services that people want at prices they find favorable. Businesses profit to the extent that they serve the public and fulfill their needs...

Imagine, if you will, the following system...

Government is managed by elected representatives who are in turn elected by the people. Government is further restrained by checks and balances between three branches, each of which is accountable ultimately to the people who live under the laws.

Unlike the ancient system of government in which the only people who were truly free were the aristocracy, under this new system, every adult citizen has political rights. No one rules over anyone without accountability.

Also part of this, no one in government...
